Are you in it for the money, the passion, or do you want more time with your family? Set personal goals and get valuable insights instead of a bunch of charts.
Manage your marketing, sales, project work and finances in a single tool.
Minimize context switching with our workflows optimized for focus.
Task interruption or context switching kills productivity. The larger the context switch, the more time and energy it costs to get back to your interrupted task.
As a freelancer, the biggest context switches are between these big domains: marketing, sales, project work, and finances.
That's where we come in!
We provide you with a single tool to manage all these domains, we connect all your data together and provide you with valuable insights based on your personal goals.
At the same time, we increase your productivity by providing separate workflows for each of these domains, enabling you to work focussed and without distractions.
Want to start a blog? Want to write a business case at the end of every project? Starting is easy, keeping it up is harder. You can set goals and get reminders when it's time to work on new material.
Professional online presence
As a freelancer, you absolutely need an online presence. If you already have a website, great! We're not going to replace that. If you don't have a website, and don't want to put much time and money into it, you can easily publish a public professional profile. Included with the services you offer, your background and experience, some business cases and client reviews, even a blog if you want. The ideal stepping stone to a website, or maybe a perfect solution if you're looking for a minimal and user-frienldy solution.
Manage incoming requests with contact forms
All form submissions will be available in your portal, and will be the start of an opportunity, support request or new project.
Privacy-friendly analytics, without cookie banners
How annoying are those cookie banners? We don't like them, so we just don't use cookies. We still gather basic analytics about your visitors on the server, so you can track visitors, pageviews, locations, and UTM campaign tags.
Battle budget overrun: historic insights when creating new estimates
We don't always have the reflex to take learnings from previous projects to the next. Maybe you repeatedly underestimate the work that goes in a specific project, or perhaps you have a client that needs a lot of updates and more time for communication. It's easy to make the same mistakes over and over again by copying previous proposals for similar projects. The problem often starts at the very beginning: your estimates. Avoid miscalculation by basing your estimates on facts and insights instead of gut feeling or emotion. You don't have to dig into archived projects, you'll get all the trends and insights you need, when and where you'll need them.
Triage incoming requests
Gather incoming requests via your forms, add labels automatically based on the form and manually triage the rest based on your ICP (Ideal Customer Profile). Create leads, opportunities and issues directly from an incoming request.
Create leads, opportunities and proposals with minimal effort
Generate leads and opportunities from contact requests, create proposals from scratch, copy and adapt an earlier proposal, or create templates to start from. Your templates automatically fetch up-to-date hourly rates and product prices, and insert specific data from your lead.
Fast approval flow with legally binding digital signatures
Get your proposals approved as fast as possible with legally binding digital signatures. Compliant with all common e-signature laws, including ESIGN Act, UETA, and eIDAS. A complete audit trail of signed documents is available upon request. It can be used for legal documentation if the document is tampered with, or if any other legal questions arise.
Get an overview of your sales pipeline
Directly see how many opportunities are ongoing, for how much money, and how much every opportunity matches with your personal goals.
Manage your job sources
You'll probably have some websites your regularly check for new jobs. You can collect all these resources in your portal and configure how regular you want to check them. We'll keep track of when you last visited your sources from your portal and give you a heads-up if you forget them.
There's no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to project management. For some projects you'll want an adaptive approach, cycles or sprints are the way to go. In some cases, you'll need to get your facts straight before even thinking about a kickoff. In that case, you'll need proper documentation and reporting of scope, deliverables, stakeholders, communication plan, risks,... For others, you might just need a kanban board and reporting on workload. You'll be provided with a set of tools to support a wide variety of approaches, you choose what you pick out of the toolbox. This includes the basics like projects, epics, issues, labels,...
Time tracking for you and your contractors
Track time to invoice to a client, or to review the total project cost at the end. Invite your contractors to track their time, approve and lock their timesheets, invoice your client and provide your contractor with a PO.
You'll be able to set the actual cost and hourly rate you want to charge for your contractor, to calculate your margin.
Cost control and earned value management
Track expenses and manage your project budget as a fixed price, time & material or just set a project as non-billable.
You'll be able to estimate on project, epic or issue level. After logging time, you'll be able to give an estimate of the required time to finish the epic or issue. This way you can anticipate a future budget overrun as early as possible.
We'll also keep track of your other projects for the same client and detect trends in actuals compared to estimates.
Manage your stakeholders
If it's just you and the client, you'll just keep track of their contact details. For the bigger projects, you'll want to keep track of who's involved, who's responsible for what, and what's everyone's sentiment, engagement, power and influence. You'll be alerted of stakeholders who need nurturing.
Project updates & communication management
Give weekly or bi-weekly project updates and send them to your client. If you need to deal with a lot of stakeholders, you'll be able to configure a communication plan based on your stakeholder register. Save a ton of time by segmenting your stakeholders and sending bulk updates per segment. Exclude the few stakeholders you'll always want to send a personal update.
Risk management
Risk management won't give you many tangible results, but it will make you a happier and more worry-free freelancer. It's worth to pause for a moment and think of what could go wrong, what the impact would be, and what you could do in response. This doesn't need to take a lot of time, but you will feel reassured having everything under control, and you'll have a plan B when things go south.
Reporting
Check if you're still on track in a blink of an eye, with handy burn-up and burn-down charts. If you need an extended project status report for a board meeting, or a timesheets export for your T&M projects, you can export that too. Want to print out your stakeholder register? No worries, we'll make the data insightful with graphs where useful.
Invoice your projects and keep track of uninvoiced hours. Generate recurring invoices and send them automatically, or keep them in draft for review.
Work with retainers
If you have a budget that isn't tied to a project, you can create a retainer and withdraw money at the end of the month based on actual hours worked.
Automatic payment registration and reminders
Connect your bank account and fully automate the invoicing cycle. Every invoice will have a structured reference and payments will automatically be linked to an invoice, or a reminder is sent when an invoice is overdue.
Financial goal tracking & forecasting
You'll probably have a financial goal each year, or at least have an idea of how much you'll need to make to break even. Set that goal and add your expected expenses and revenue per month. Throughout the year, all your income and expenses are used to make sure you stay on track. If you fall short, you can always tweak your expectations in the coming months, or update your goal. Once you hit your target, it's up to you: make more money, or enjoy some family time.
Always be prepared for a financial audit
Nobody likes being audited, good preparation gives you peace of mind for when the time comes. Keep track of all your bank transactions and back them up by connecting invoices or receipts, and make personal notes as a reminder. You'll be able to explain everything when questioned.
